All-new Volkswagen Touareg has been unveiled in China
The all-new Volkswagen Touareg has been unveiled in China for its world debut which is the German carmaker’s biggest marketplace.
The firm says the fully digital cockpit, which it calls the Innovision, is a great example of where the carmaker is going. The digital cockpit has a 12-inch display for the digital instruments and there’s a top end infotainment system to cater for all entertainment, communication and information purposes.
There are few conventional switches or buttons since the digital operating system does away with most of these.
Volkswagen Touareg will have two V6 diesel engines

The firm says the new model is an important milestone and is the largest technology and product campaign they’ve ever undertaken.

Drivers will find that the new model is larger than its predecessor; the third generation version is slightly longer and wider.
This means the interior cabin is much larger and there’s a big boost for luggage capacity.
Drivers will also get to enjoy lots of equipment including the options of night vision assistance which will detect animals and people in the dark, a roadwork lane assist along with autonomous breaking and active all-wheel steering.
There’s no doubt that the new Volkswagen Touareg is a stylish and well-designed model which will prove to be popular once it reaches our showrooms in the coming months.
