Audi lovers are in for a treat because the carmaker has announced a strictly limited second run of its UK-spec 340PS RS.

The stylish compact hatchback is now available to order and there are just 250 building slots remaining for potential UK buyers.
Drivers will get a turbocharged five-cylinder TFSI engine which is linked to standard seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission to deliver 340PS and 450Nm of torque.
In a compact car that’s some power and it will hit 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds though its top speed is governed at 155mph. Audi says the RS 3 will return 31mpg but I’m guessing that’s not the figure for when the engine is being ‘enjoyed’.
It has quattro drive, 19-inch alloy wheels, flared lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced polymer wings and a sport button controlling throttle response and exhaust note.
The initial run of 500 sold out very quickly and demand has remained high for the RS 3 which is why Audi have decided to knock out a few more.
The RS 3 is a great performance car and is priced £39,930 OTR – which is the same price as the original run.
