The Nissan GT-R Nismo has incredible acceleration – helped by improved downforce measures
This is the new look for the Nissan GT-R Nismo which goes on sale later this year and there’s a rash of improvements including a way to boost downforce to improve the car’s performance.
While it has the new grille and bumper design from the current car, they are now made from carbon fibre to help generate downforce – certainly more than any Nissan wrote car built previously.

The new Nissan GT-R Nismo also gets better springs, specially-made shock absorbers and stabilisers to help improve its drive and ride. Indeed, Nissan says the new version is better to drive than ever before.
This is reflected in improved cornering and slalom times and the adaptive damper system can be adjusted to suit the driver’s needs.
Under the bonnet there’s a hand-built 3.8 litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine producing 592 bhp and 652Nm of torque; the power is controlled by a six speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

As a result, the GT-R Nismo will rocket from 0 to 62 mph in an unbelievable time of 2.5 seconds with a top speed of 200 mph. It helps that the Nismo has all-wheel drive to help boost grip and its stiffened body structure also helps improve its performance.
Nissan have also upgraded the cabin with a new steering wheel and dashboard and a larger infotainment screen. The firm has also reduced the number of switches, there are just 11 now instead of 27 to help the driver focus on the road ahead.

The GT-R Nismo also has leather Recaro bucket seats which are unique to the car and come complete with red Alcantara inserts.
Orders are being taken now and deliveries are expected in December but there’s no confirmation of pricier but Nissan GT-R Nismo fans are expecting a price tag of around £120,000.
