The Mercedes S-Class was revamped in 2018, which brought in new eight-cylinder 4.0 litre diesel and petrol engines - and the excellent 12-cylinder 6.0 litre engine was retained. The bi-turbo petrol and diesel units deliver torque of 710 Nm with a power output of 612 hp. This helps the S-Class to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds.
