The Renault Captur is a front-engine front, wheel drive 5-door compact crossover SUV with a wide choice of trim levels and engine options and is manufactured by the French automaker Renault.
It was first shown at the Geneva motor show in 2011 and came into production in 2013; it is currently in its second generation, and the vehicle is assembled in Spain and China.
The car has been sold worldwide under various guises and assembled in Brazil, Russia, India, and Kazakhstan.
Renault describes the Captur as a modern and elegant SUV with a high driving position giving better visibility and no compromise on practicality with its roomy and spacious cabin and a large boot.
The Renault Captur offers to enhance your driving experience with the latest technology paving its way towards autonomous driving. Inside the comfortable and smart cockpit is a sliding rear bench seat, enabling the boot to have up to 536 litres of storage space.
Renault has drawn on its heritage in motorsport with the RS model, where the front end features an F1® style blade, finished in gunmetal grey complemented by a honeycomb grille and distinctive C-shaped signature lighting.

The Renault Captur offers E-Tech hybrid technology in two forms; one is E-Tech full hybrid that doesn't need to be plugged in to recharge; the energy is recovered from braking which charges a small battery which powers the electric motor; this then seamlessly switches between petrol and electric motor to optimise the driving performance and fuel efficiency of the Captur.
E-tech PHEV plug-in hybrid Captur allows up to 30* miles of pure electric mode, ideal for ULEZ zones. The small battery that drives the electric motor is charged at home or any of the thousands of public charge points across the UK, a full charge takes up to 4hrs 15 minutes to charge from a home socket.
