For those who like the Fiat 500X – which the carmaker says is the ‘next generation of crossover’ -there’s a new model being added to the line-up and it’s the special edition S-Design.
The new vehicle is packed with the latest connectivity and technology for driver enjoyment but it also has a distinctive style.
The unique features for the exterior include black roof bars, front moulding, door handles and black inserts on the boot lid.
There are also blacked-out rear windows, a bronze coloured ‘X’ logo on the car’s side mouldings and black alloy wheels. The S-Design comes in a choice of five colours.
Equipment for the Fiat 500X S-Design
There’s also a lot of equipment for the Fiat 500X S-Design including rear parking sensors, daytime running lights and LED headlights.
The instrument panel features a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen, a double USB port and automatic dual zone climate control.
There’s also what Fiat calls a ‘techno-leather steering wheel’ that comes complete with audio controls plus there’s an electric parking brake and cruise control.

The Fiat 500X S-Design also features the latest in in-car connectivity with Fiat’s 7-inch Uconnect system which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The touchscreen is fitted standard.
Along with a connected and safe driving experience, safety kit includes traffic sign recognition, intelligent speed assist and lane keeping assist.
There’s a choice of two petrol engines and these are mated to either a manual or automatic transmission.
The options also include the firm’s new turbocharged engines, they are called FireFly, and consist of a 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine delivering 120 hp – or a 1.3 litre unit with four-cylinders producing 150 hp for the six-speed automatic dual clutch transmission.

The interior has also been revamped and there’s exclusive upholstery included and a textured black dashboard fascia to enjoy.
The new Fiat 500X S-Design is priced from £20,495 for the 1.0 litre unit, while the larger 1.3 litre turbocharged petrol engine version costs £22,695 and both are available to order now.
