With car buyers looking for more efficient and well-made cars, it’s timely that Seat announces that half year sales show record Ecomotive Technology take-up across all models.
They say that over four in ten SEATs sold in 2012 will feature Ecomotive Technology and it has just launched the Exeo Ecomotive which boasts 62.8mpg.
The Exeo Ecomotive, available to order now, is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI common rail diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and in two states of tune: 120 PS and 143 PS. Despite the power difference, both emit just 117g/km of CO2 and return 62.8mpg on the combined cycle.
The addition of start/stop engine technology, an Energy Recovery system, Goodyear low rolling resistance tyres and lowered suspension help make the Ecomotive the cleanest, most fuel efficient Exeo ever. Not only does that save drivers money at the pumps, it also places the car into VED Band C for the first time – bringing the annual tax bill down from £100 per year to £30.
The 120 PS Exeo Ecomotive S becomes the most cost effective model in the range, with a starting price of £20,040 OTR.
